A Health and Wellness Coach is a dedicated partner supporting you as you make positive changes towards your health goals. Change is not linear, it is a zigzagging, winding road and there are inevitable ups and downs. Together we will create a personalized plan that fits your unique lifestyle and vision, and I will provide tools, accountability, and guidance along the way. Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans suggests a minimum amount of moderate or vigorous-intensity activities and muscle-strengthening each week, as well as activities to improve balance for adults 65 and over. Exercise can be exhilarating. I will help you find fun and effective ways to move your body.
We all know stress can take a toll on our health and well-being. Developing healthy coping strategies and mindfulness practices can help you manage stress. Even rethinking how you feel about stress can be pivotal in improving your overall quality of life.
Getting the right amount of quality sleep is important for our bodies to rest, recover, and repair muscles, organs, and cells. There are many ways you can prepare for restful sleep.
Having a Health and Wellness Coach as part of your healthcare team can bridge the gap with your practitioner's care plan by supporting you while you implement changes at home, building an actionable plan for you to work towards improved health outcomes.
We will design a path forward that honors your readiness. Referrals may be provided to support groups or specialists if needed.
Everyone experiences shifts in their lives. Job transitions, moving, having a baby, retiring, etc. are all significant adjustments where coaching can offer steady support as you grow into your next stage.
Like you, I have a story, and for me the choices I've made around my health and well-being have turned my life around. I am closely familiar with the effects that chronic stress, unresolved trauma, and poor nutrition have on good health when you're not paying attention, floating through life putting your needs last. Eventually my body had enough. A trip to the allergist revealed I had more than 20 food sensitivities and allergies, leaving what felt like very few options in nutritional variety and a feeling of despair (How will I eat when I'm with friends and family so I'm not a burden? What will travel, celebrations, and other events look like if I can't be part of the full experience? I'm allergic to the alternatives, now what?! etc). This opened my eyes and ignited a will to find the cause of my illness so I could get back on track. I began to slow down and take an active role in the healing and rebuilding of my health through lifestyle changes. I learned how to support my body, mind, and spirit, knowing all of these aspects were speaking up. Along the way I developed an enjoyment for creating healthy habits that align with my happiness and peace, and found a love for adventure through my renewed energy, passion for movement, and pursuit to reclaim a life that is authentic to me and my well-being. Today, my food allergies have improved and I've reversed the lengthy list of sensitivities. I have resolved symptoms of anxiety, acne, hair loss, fatigue, and brain fog. I love enjoying food, creating healthy meals, moving my body, and supporting others as they take steps to greater health.
I offer whole-person coaching tailored specifically for you to explore your vision and start moving forward at a realistic pace. Whole-person coaching involves many dimensions of wellness including physical, emotional, mental, social, environmental, intellectual, and spiritual. Every person is uniquely individual and the steps to making change look different for each person. I provide a positive space for you to dig in to your values and dreams, cultivate your best self, and develop clarity, optimism, and hope for the future.
